Rustic Modern Living in Los Angeles

A young family starting out in Los Angeles with a pretty big empty box of a room, we created a super cozy and inviting living space for everyone to hang out and engage in this light and airy space. Wrapping two of the walls in custom box frame moulding was the starting point in adding interest and dimension, giving the room the "architectural hug" it so greatly deserved. We updated the fireplace using limestone tile in a beautiful herringbone pattern. The leather sofa already belonged to my clients and we loved it's worn in and rustic charm, so it was perfect for the space. The tufted ottoman was made custom for my client, using Sunbrella fabric to keep it safe from the little ones sticky fingers. The rug, drapes and end tables are Pottery Barn, and the clock is from Restoration Hardware. The large iron pendant was purchased locally.
